Automations help you to overcome repetitive tasks on your database for your submissions. Every Hipporello form and email that you create comes with two predefined automations:

• Every requester receives an automated “Thank you” message showing them that their request has been received.
• Every requester receives an automated message when their request/case is closed.

You can edit these actions and their messages, or you can delete them. It is also possible to define new automated actions for tickets you receive through forms and email.

Let’s say you collect requests created by the Contact Form on the “New Requests” Notion Database and you want to close the request, when a member replies. To do that:

• Go to the Contact Form from your Hipporello Admin and click Edit.
• Under the Set Automation section, click “Edit Automation”, and “Add a New Rule”.
• First, we need to select a trigger. Under the “When” dropdown, select “Requester Replies” as a trigger.
• As an action, under the “Then” dropdown, select “Close the Request”.
• Don’t forget to publish your changes.

Now, when a member replies to the case, the Notion item will be closed. You can define different rules for every received form and inbound email address.
